What is an Assisted Living Home?

A.

An assisted living home is a suitable option for individuals that can no longer live independently but do not need the supervision of a nursing home. It gives the option of day – to – day assistance if needed while maintaining a sense of independence for the individual.

How long has Angel Assisted Living been in business?

A.

Angel Assisted Living has been serving the Greater Washington D.C. area since 1998.

Q.

Is Angel Assisted Living regulated and licensed by the State of Maryland?

A.

Angel Assisted Living is fully licensed and compliant with all regulations and guidelines imposed by the state of Maryland. For specifics regarding licensure, please speak directly to the facility manager.

How many facilities do you operate?

A.

Currently, there are six facilities located throughout the area. We have homes in Bowie (2), College Park, Lanham, Waldorf, and our newest facility located in Largo.

Q.

What is the monthly rate? 

The monthly rate for each resident is based upon an initial assessment performed prior to entering our facility. During this assessment, the individual’s current state, medications, and needs are taken into consideration to determine a final rate.

What are the payment options for the facilities?

Angel Assisted Living accepts Private Pay, Medicaid Waivers, and Subsidy.

 What is included in the monthly payment for each resident?

The monthly payment covers housekeeping, laundry services, meals, basic grooming, and medication administration.

Is there a regular physician that is associated with each facility?

A.

There is a physician that routinely visits each home. However, if a resident would like to keep their primary physician that can be accommodated. There is also a pharmacy that provides medications to residents and similar arrangements can be made if a resident chooses to keep their previous pharmacy.

How many staff members are on site each day?

A.

Each home has a minimum of two trained staff members on site 24/7.
